The traditional gala night organized by the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce will mark the celebration of its fifth birthday this year. Namely, five years ago the former French-Serbian Business Club was admitted to the Union of French Chambers of Commerce Abroad, thus being given the role of a chamber of commerce to more closely introduce Serbian market to French companies and to organize regular purposeful receptions for the local French-Serbian business unit, as the Chamber stated.

The gala evening was opened by the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić who expressed congratulations and wished a happy birthday to the Chamber and to all French and Serbian companies that were present at the occasion. The President of the Chamber, Patrick Collin presented the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić with the special award for outstanding contribution to the development of bilateral relations between France and Serbia and in the absence of the most recent Ambassador of France in Serbia François-Xavier Deniau, a special award was also presented to the First Counselor François Bonet.

For the first time this year the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce organized a Grand Prix open competition for the companies-members dividing it into the categories for innovations and socially responsible business activities. The winner in the category of innovations was “Schneider Electric DMS NS” with its smart software solution for management of power distribution and Crédit Agricole Bank for socially responsible business activities for their humanitarian activities with the project called “Tim Vile Dobrile”.

The Chamber celebrated its birthday in a pleasant atmosphere gathering 240 respectable guests.

The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce today counts around 130 members and organizes various activities on a regular basis, with the purpose of fostering economic cooperation between French and Serbia. The gala night only confirmed this aim.
