On Tuesday, April 17th 2012 the high management of the company Telvent DMS Novi Sad officially opened a New Smart Grid IT Competence Center. On this occasion, an opening ceremony was organized gathering all the relevant authorities, partners and customers.
The CEO of Telvent DMS, Dragan Popovic officially inaugurated the opening ceremony. He presented some major points of business activity of the company, by talking about a new generation of Advanced DMS which integrates DMS/SCADA/OMS, one of the biggest R&D Smart Grid IT team in the world with over 1000 developers, Telvent DMS’s three-year road map and finally, about the correlation with the University of Novi Sad as Smart Grid IT background.
According to Telvent’s Chairman and CEO, Ignacio Gonzalez, “Telvent’s ADMS is currently an industry-leading solution for utilities around the world. The ADMS Competency Center will ensure that our technology and expertise remain the most powerful in the future.” The Executive Vice-President of Schneider Electric, Michel Crochon also greeted the guests and talked about the prospective cooperation between Schneider Electric and Telvent DMS.
The Major Project Manager for Smart Grid DSDR project in Progress Energy, North Carolina USA, Robert Simpson stressed out main benefit of Telvent DMS’s DSDR for Progress Energy which is Peak Load Reduction and expressed his gratitude for excellent cooperation between TDMS team and Progress Energy during the first two phases of Project. Mr Simpson said that the most important things in this project are that Telvent DMS is the only company that listens to customer and makes the software in accordance with customer requirements.
